Date nights at Dance King aren’t just something you attend — they’re something you feel. They’re a chance to dress up for each other again, to step out of the routine and into something intentional. Phones away. To-do lists behind. Just the two of you, choosing to make time. In a world that constantly pulls you in different directions, this is where you turn back toward each other. The music starts, your hands connect, and suddenly conversation feels easier. Laughter comes naturally. Movement softens the walls that daily stress can build. You remember why you chose each other in the first place. It’s not about perfect steps — it’s about shared rhythm, eye contact, and the quiet power of being fully present. At Dance King, date night becomes more than an evening out… it becomes a memory, a reset, and a reminder that love grows when you move together.

Help Us Make Your Date Night Unforgettable

We want every Dance King Date Night to feel personal, intentional, and unforgettable. Sharing a little about you helps us do just that—your favorite music, special songs that connect you, dream venues where you’d love to dance, and anything else that makes your relationship unique. The more we know, the more we can sprinkle in the little touches that make your night together truly yours. This is optional, but consider taking a few moments to tell us about yourselves so we can craft an experience that’s as special as your connection.

2026

“In 2023, we celebrated 25 years of marriage. Considering the rate of divorce, we are both proud of ourselves for achieving this milestone. In marriage, it is so important to find a common interest. We both love dancing and frequented clubs both pop and country during our childless season. The only couples dance we knew was the basic two step, as well as “slow dancing.” You know the kind where you both just hug each other and walk in a box. Once we started having kids our dance time turned more into all freestyle dancing in the kitchen while making dinner or turning on the Wii, Just Dance game with the kids. None of our 25 years of dancing together allowed a connection between a leader and a follower. Although we were married, we danced as we were single, just two individuals determining their own steps. This became glaringly apparent one night when we met a friend at a dance hall and people there were dancing as if it was a Dancing with the Stars show. How did they do this? After this one night, we both knew our dancing was in serious jeopardy. We needed dance therapy! We are only able to see the enormous benefits dancing can bring to a marriage because we signed up for dancing lessons through Dance Kings. We feel our commitment to one another has been further solidified because we are learning the art of a dance connection. The leader can not lead without feeling connected to the follower and the follower can not follow without feeling the leads. It is the physical form of communication. One break in a connection will either stop a dance completely or both dancers end up doing their own dance. Much like a marriage, you need to commit spending the time together to practice this connection because it is not easily achieved. It takes patience and letting go of insecurities and selfish desires. Instead, you must work off each other’s energy and physical touch as life’s stresses disappear. Dance is building a stronger bond between us as we are learning what each other needs from one another to be able to look and be our best selves in our “show,” resulting in lots of smiles.”
