Join us every Saturday from 11 AM – 12 PM at Dance King, TDC Studios in Ashburn, VA for our “Dance King Foundations” Intro to Social Dance Classes are more than just a dance class—they’re a heartwarming invitation to connect, communicate, and collaborate in a whole new way. Designed specifically for those with no experience and no partner required, these classes offer a welcoming space where nervous beginners turn into confident dancers and strangers become part of a vibrant, encouraging community. Here, learning to dance isn’t just about the steps—it’s about unlocking joy, building trust, and rediscovering the power of shared movement. Whether you're looking to meet new people, strengthen a relationship, or simply step outside your comfort zone, these classes are the perfect first step into a world of connection, confidence, and fun.

What to Expect

Each week we will alternate between Latin and Swing styles to give you an introduction to the main social styles of dance, including Bachata, Salsa, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Country Swing, and Argentine Tango. See the calendar for specific dates.

Dance Styles

We’ll cover 6 core social dance styles that will have you grooving at weddings, parties, live music venues, and dance socials everywhere:

💃 East Coast Swing – A high-energy, upbeat dance perfect for big band and rock ‘n’ roll music. Great for weddings, swing dance nights, and anywhere with a lively beat!

🕺 West Coast Swing – A smooth and stylish partner dance that lets you express yourself to blues, pop, and contemporary hits. You’ll love using this at bars with live bands, dance socials, and West Coast Swing nights!

💃 Bachata – A sensual and rhythmic Latin dance that’s easy to learn and super fun. You’ll find yourself dancing Bachata at Latin clubs, festivals, and salsa nights!

🕺 Salsa – Fast, exciting, and full of spins! Salsa is one of the most popular social dances, perfect for Latin dance nights, rooftop parties, and anywhere with a spicy beat!

🤠 Country Swing – Fun, flashy, and versatile! Country Swing is the go-to dance at country bars, concerts, and festivals. Whether you’re tossing in dips, spins, or lifts, it’s a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.

💃 Argentine Tango – Elegant, passionate, and deeply connected. Argentine Tango thrives at tango nights and wine bars, making every dance feel like a cinematic experience.

✨ No partner? No problem! You’ll rotate partners throughout the class, so everyone gets a chance to practice, meet new people, and build confidence on the dance floor.
